What is a moderator and what do they do?
A moderator is a member who helps administer a particular forum or section on the site. They have a variety of responsibilities and duties to the site which they must adhere to. Some of these include:
[/li][li] Resolving conflicts within their moderated forum
[/li][li]Keeping the forum relatively tidy and organized
[/li][li]Ensuring the forum is fun, safe, and welcome to all
[/li][li]Making sure the forum and its members follow the site rules
[/li][li]Getting everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves!
Sounds interesting to you?If so then read on.
What does it take to become a moderator?
First and foremost, you must be able to show that you are a trustworthy person who can not only handle some tasks on a regular basis but also know how to keep a secret. You also need to demonstrate that your communication skills are on par with our expectations. That means basic grammar and spelling is a must!
A member must be enthusiastic to help others and not themselves in the forum. That means possessing a desire to assist but also knowing their place within the forum (meaning - memberators are not welcome!). Most importantly, we look for people who can spark a good conversation in the forum and know about its contents. Basically, the more informative and friendly you are the better your chances.
How do I apply?
Send ModeratorRequests,a Private Message requesting to moderate.
Place the requested forum name in the title of the PM that is sent.
Simply place a link to the forum you are requesting for, that's it. However, if the link is improperly placed then your application will be declined instantly, no exceptions. It's expected that a request like this is at least previewed before being submitted. If you can't take the time to send me a proper PM then I can't take the time to research what it is you want.
*new In order to make the process of member investigation you must add some more information to you PM. And again requests that does not meet the requiernments will not be accepted.
Here is what the PM should have:
Name: (user name)
Age:
Occupation:
Previous Bans: (if any)
Forum Name: The name of the forum you are applying to.
Link: (place the link to the forum in here)
If applicable, state that you have co-mod approval!
PS:Note that you must have at least 100 post before applying so that we know that you are a devoted member.
Moderators that does not come regularly to their forums will be demoted.
